Will Botox Really Work? (A personal experience to change your mind)

Some of you might fear from the name itself- Botox. Here’s a personal experience of getting ageless with this scientific technique. Read on.

Will Botox Really Work

Before I start with it, let me tell you one thing- it works!

Seriously, I’ve never been in for surgery. Being highly terrified of cuts and stitches, I would have never said YES for any kind of facelifts or laser. But when my doctor advised that Botox is fairly harmless, I decided to go for it.

To be honest, it wasn’t an easy option. It took a good time for me to be ‘agree’ on getting Botox. It was in early 30s when I started searching for some anti-aging solutions. But when I hit 36, and started seeing those wrinkles, I couldn’t resist and want them off my face anyhow.

It is the most common question asked by people when they are in late 20s or early 30s. Reason being, you cannot see those signs of aging very clearly at that particular age. However, when you go above 38 or 40, you will understand that you are quite late.

Now, would you like to live with a frowny face? Of course, not and even it was not possible for me to resist.

After a bunch of research, I finally discovered that Botox is a real solution to mitigate those frown lines. And if I could have started bit earlier, say in 30 or 32, I wouldn’t have lines at all.

I found a clinic through my friend. She was already taking treatment from the same place and was satisfied with their service. When I saw her frown lines between her eyes diminishing, I made my appointment too.

In case, you don’t have any friend to suggest a good clinic you can consider searching online for it. There are number of clinics offering Botox at competitive prices and with great results.

On the day of appointment I was asked to fill out paperwork detailing my health history and sign a paper detailing things which could occur with getting Botox injections.

Preparation time…

The professional then took me to a little room which was similar to any other regular doctor’s office. After five minutes, he came up with a cream and applied to the area to be injected. I was very curious to know what it actually was.

To this he explained, that he applied a layer of topical anesthetic cream to make process pain-free. It was the best moment when he applied Dr. Numb to my skin, making it numb for few hours. I could feel the numbness and was now relaxed that it won’t pain.

He then started explaining about Botox, stating that it is a toxin and there are possible reactions. But it would be safe and I will end up with youthful skin once again. Just like every patient I told him what I wanted; no more frown lines between my eyebrows.

To this he smiled and said they didn’t look so bad. And I would probably need 7-8 units. To my fear, I asked whether they would stab me 8 times with a needle. Thankfully, it wasn’t the case and he said NO, just two times!

Injection time..

Finally, I was asked to lay back on the table with a pillow. I kept my eyes closed and he started talking to me, just to keep me busy. He wiped down the area and asked me to frown. I did the same way and he pushed the needle in it. The needle was in for just 3-5 seconds, and then he pulled out.

Well, the results are amazing and a big THANKS to Dr. Numb to make it a pleasant experience.
