Salabrasion:
Salabrasion is a home remedy to remove a tattoo by peeling the upper layers of the skin. In this technique, you sand your skin with salt. Take a moist gauze sponge with salt on it, and rub it onto your tattoo until the area get dark red. You will end up with a bruised skin you should not worry over. Apply antibiotic and secure it with bandage. Repeat the process after 3 days to fade the tattoo appearance.
(Note: Consult your doctor if the signs like pain and redness persist.)
Aloe Vera:
Mix aloe vera juice with 1 tbsp. of Paderiatomentose and vitamin E capsule. Stir well to make it a thick paste. Massage the tattooed area with this paste for 10 minutes. Rinse off the area with warm water. Do this method every day.
Lemon Juice with Salt:
Lemon juice is a natural bleach which can lighten the ink. To make it more effective, consider mixing it with an abrasive material like salt. Make sure to keep it as a sticky substance. Apply this “lotion” to the tattooed skin using a cotton ball. Leave it for some time. Afterwards, wash it off with warm water.
Honey:
Mix equal amount of yogurt, salt, aloe vera juice and honey altogether. You will get a thick paste. Apply this paste to the tattooed skin. Wash it off after 30 minutes.
Sand Powder and Grinding Stones
This one is a tough remedy. Grind sand and grinding stone, and mixed it with thick aloe vera gel. Then rub this mixture gently to the tattooed area. Use it daily to see if the tattoo is fading. If it is not easy on your skin, you can replace sand powder and grinding stones with apricot or walnut scrub.
Honey:
Honey is said to be effective for light colored and tiny tattoos. Take 2 tbsp. each of aloe vera juice, salt, yoghurt and honey. Mix them altogether to get a thick paste. Now, apply gently over the tattooed skin and rinse off the paste with warm water after 30 minutes.
Laser Tattoo Removal
If these home remedies don’t show any result, laser tattoo removal is your last resort. It emits strong laser beams to the tattooed area to break down ink particles. You may be required to come back for multiple sessions depending on age and ink pigmentation. After each session, your tattoo will become significantly lighter.
Bottom Line:
First of all, you should be careful while getting a tattoo to avoid the unpleasant circumstances later. Be careful with the design and make sure your workplace has no problem with the tattoos.
